Absinthique and Herr Impresario lead as producers. Alongside them is a whole team from Saarland’s burlesque community. Without their volunteer work, this festival would not exist.

A community that does more than watch.

Our team members are performers themselves. They give their time, experience and energy, including on evenings when they are not in the spotlight. They help shape the festival with us. Their work is not an extra: it is what makes the festival possible.

As producers, Absinthique and Herr Impresario take on the largest share of preparation and responsibility for curation. Bringing the festival to life is a shared effort. Both sides of that work belong in its story.

The community makes the festival possible. In turn, the festival creates space for the community: to meet international artists, exchange ideas and make the local scene visible. Those connections last beyond these festival evenings.

Production & curation

Absinthique and Herr Impresario have helped build the regional community and produce shows such as The Grand Night of Burlesque together. They lead the festival’s production and curation, with the community alongside them.
